The location of the hotel is perfect, it is situated directly in front of the glacier, which provides a stunning view. Additionally, it is close to all the major tourist attractions, including the glacier lake. The room and the bathroom were very clean and spacious. The service we received was also fantastic, the staff was very helpful with providing us with information about the area and answering any questions we had. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet.

The outdoor decking area wasn't very safe due to the icy conditions.

The view from the room was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful mountain and glacier view. The room itself was clean and stylishly minimalist, giving it a modern and sleek feel. The shower was spacious and provided one of the best showers I had during my trip. the on-site restaurant served delicious meals for both dinner and breakfast.

The noise from the passing vehicles on the nearby road impacted our stay. We couldn't leave the window open overnight due to the sound, and it made the room a bit hot even with low heating.

I recently stayed at Lilja Guesthouse for 4 nights during my trip to explore the beautiful Icelandic countryside. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. Despite the rooms not having a kitchenette, they kindly helped me boil pasta without any extra cost. The guesthouse is situated in a great location for viewing the Northern Lights and the breakfast served was superb. The rooms were clean and the views of the surrounding mountains were stunning.
